As a San Francisco and East Bay family photographer, my greatest joy comes from capturing families in moments of genuine connection. Whether at home or exploring beautiful locations like Crown Memorial State Beach in Alameda, I focus on creating a relaxed atmosphere where families can be themselves, have fun, and make lasting memories.
When these dear friends asked me to document their family before their move to the East Coast, I knew this session would be extra special. Crown Beach held deep significance for them—it was a place where they had spent countless hours together during their time in the Bay Area. As the sun set over the water, we set out to capture one last California adventure.
What followed was pure magic. Their little girl led us on a joyful beachside exploration, her laughter filling the evening air as we played games near the shore. And of course, no session would be complete without including their four beloved dogs, who brought their own energy and charm to the experience.
Time seemed to slow down as we moved between playful moments and quiet connections. While I’ll miss having these friends nearby, I’m grateful we could preserve these treasured California memories for them. This session perfectly reflects what I love most about family photography—capturing authentic moments of love, laughter, and connection that tell a family’s unique story.
