Pregnancy is a period of profound change. Your maternity session is designed to document this transition meaningfully, creating artful, connected images that reflect who you are right now.
Every pregnancy unfolds differently. This time is worth documenting.
Maternity sessions are relaxed and connection-focused. You’re not asked to perform or pose in ways that don’t feel natural. Instead, we create space for quiet interaction, subtle movement, and the details that make your family unique.
The images reflect closeness, strength, and the quiet weight of what’s changing.
A focused collection for families who want to document this stage simply and beautifully
A comprehensive collection that allows space for depth, detail, and connection.
A combined maternity and newborn collection that documents the full transition into parenthood.
“Sara is warm, friendly, and knew how to put us at ease and feel comfortable during our session. Her natural talent combined with the time and energy she put into our photos really shines through in the final images.”
“We worked with Sara for maternity and newborn photos, and she really took the time to get to know us, plan the session, get creative and genuine photos of us, and produce an amazing gallery. She’s warm and friendly so she knew how to put us at ease and help us feel comfortable throughout our session. We are so happy with her work and can’t wait to have her take more photos of our family in the future.”

“I will forever cherish the photos Sara took of my first pregnancy.”
“Sara was amazing to work with. She’s easygoing and makes taking photos feel natural. She asked a bunch of questions before the session to get to know me better, which is great because when you meet in person it’s not awkward at all. We had terrible weather in San Francisco at the time of the session and she still made the photos look amazing!”

“Sara was so well prepared and got to know us and what we were looking for before we even started taking the photos.”
“We absolutely loved working with Sara! She is very easy to communicate with and responds promptly. The sessions felt so natural and our photos turned out beautifully. I highly recommend booking with Sara!”

The ideal time for a maternity session is between 28 and 35 weeks. During this period, your belly is beautifully round, and you still feel comfortable.
Choose outfits that make you feel comfortable and most like yourself. Flowing dresses, fitted dresses, and tops that accentuate your baby bump work well. Feel free to bring a couple of outfit options. You’ll receive more information in your Session Guide and we’ll discuss the location and season and plan accordingly.
Absolutely! Including your partner and children is important and captures the joy of your growing family.
Sessions typically last between 1.5 to 2 hours, which allows us to capture a variety of moments.
Sessions can be held at your home or outdoors at a meaningful location. I’m also happy to provide suggestions. We’ll discuss the best options during our call.
I frequently hear from folks that they feel uncomfortable in front of the camera. My goal is to make everyone feel relaxed and to enjoy the session because I believe sessions should be easy and fun. I provide gentle guidance to support connection and enhance lighting and composition. Primarily, I want you to be yourselves so we capture this moment in time.
If the weather doesn’t cooperate, we can reschedule or move the session to an indoor location. Your comfort and safety are my top priorities.
You may reschedule once if you notify me at least 48 hours in advance. We can transfer the session payment to a new date as long as it is within 6 weeks of the original booked date. This does not include rescheduling due to weather (rain, extreme cold) or a conflict out of my control. If I'm sick, I will also reschedule because I would never want to expose your family. In the event of session cancellation for any reason (other than weather), the retainer will not be refunded. If you cancel, all retainers paid are not refundable.
You’ll receive your edited high-resolution digital images within 4 weeks. A private online gallery will be provided for you to view and download your photos.
I provide light edits that may include adjustments in lighting, color, tones, and cropping. While I take pride in my craft and want to create beautiful and meaningful images for you, I don’t make extensive changes since my goal is to create natural and authentic photos. I'll remove little blemishes and polish things up, but I want your photos to represent reality. Please let me know in advance of your session if there's something specific you're sensitive about and I’ll do my best to accommodate.
I do not share RAW images. The photos I take with my camera are not the final product and are considered unfinished works of art. I spend a great deal of time in post-processing and it’s the combination of capturing and processing the photos that allows me to artistically create the final images included in your gallery.
Yes, additional digital images and prints can be purchased. I offer various collections and print options to accommodate a range of needs.
