Hi There -

I’ve always loved babies. They’re so precious, vulnerable, and new. As a mom of two, I cherish those early days—exhausting as they are—with a newborn. Combining my love for babies and photography as a San Francisco Bay Area Fresh 48 photographer is a dream come true. Fresh 48 sessions offer the perfect way to capture those fleeting newborn moments. You think you’ll remember every detail, but as you juggle life with two or three kids, those early memories blur. A Fresh 48 session ensures you hold onto those special moments forever.

Capturing Baby Simon and his family just two days after his birth was such a joy. We planned for a hospital session, but Simon took his time arriving. Since he and his mom felt great, they left the hospital early. We quickly switched to an at-home session, and it turned out beautifully. Simon’s two big brothers joined in, adding even more warmth to the session.

Simon entered a family full of love and care. He already gazed up at his parents, calmed when his mother touched him, responded to his father’s gentle “shh,” and recognized his oldest brother’s voice. Their connection was strong, even at just two days old. Simon had heard these voices for months, and now they finally got to hear his!

Simon’s oldest brother, now a big brother twice over, embraced his new role eagerly. The younger brother, though, wasn’t so sure about losing his spot as the baby of the family. Being a big brother at two years old is tough. Watching this raw, honest moment felt precious to me. Despite their exhaustion, Simon’s parents showed incredible sensitivity to their little one’s feelings about his new brother.

As a San Francisco Bay Area Fresh 48 photographer, I can’t get enough of the tiny details that make babies so unique—the long fingers, the wrinkles, the yawns. I could photograph baby feet for days! Babies change so quickly, and I want to document everything. New parents, especially those caring for older children, often think they’ll have time to capture these moments themselves. But when your new baby is the third in the family, finding that time becomes a challenge.

Welcome to the world, Simon! You are here, and you are loved. Meeting you at just two days old was an absolute joy!
