Family is where it all begins. As an Oakland Family Photographer, I was thrilled to capture shared moments with extended family in celebration of a wedding anniversary. Many family members traveled to be together for the celebratory weekend, making this a special time. We headed to the beautiful Joaquin Miller Park in Oakland to explore, play, and spend quality time together. This is what family sessions are all about!

The park provided an ideal backdrop for the session. Everyone enjoyed rocking on the fallen log see-saws, collecting interesting sticks and rocks, and taking time to rest and read together. Discovering (and eating!) huckleberries added an extra touch of nature’s playground at its best. There was plenty of laughter and joy to commemorate this special occasion.

One of my favorite moments was capturing the spontaneous interactions among family members. The genuine smiles, shared laughter, and tender embraces showcased the deep bonds and love that this family shares. Documenting these special family memories was an honor. I’m grateful to have been a part of such a joyous occasion.
