This summer, several families I know are relocating outside the San Francisco Bay Area. When this wonderful family asked me to capture their Bernal Hill family photos in San Francisco, I was thrilled. As a Bay Area family photographer, I love documenting families in meaningful places like Bernal Hill, one of their favorite spots in the city.

We began by hiking to the top of the hill to enjoy the breathtaking views. The family had fun on a tree swing and flew a kite in the typical brisk San Francisco breeze. Their son, with his own camera, became the photographer for a while, capturing his parents in action.

Back at home, the family engaged in more activities. They read books, nurtured their prized blueberry plant, played games, and drew with sidewalk chalk. Grandma joined later, allowing us to capture special extended family photos.

This Bernal Hill family photography session was filled with joy and created lasting memories as they prepared for their new adventure.
