Sessions with me are all about building genuine connections, where your family can truly be yourselves. I believe that the best photos come from real moments—those unscripted, authentic interactions that truly reflect who you are.
When you invest in family photos, choosing the right photographer isn’t just about the final images; it’s about the entire experience. My focus is on documenting your family’s love and connections, along with those small, meaningful moments you’ll treasure forever. Together, we’ll create a relaxed and enjoyable experience that’s as much about having fun as it is about making memories. By fostering genuine connections, I help preserve your family’s essence in beautiful, candid photos.
Your family photos are visual stories of your history, preserving intimate moments from joyful laughter to tender embraces.
With 15 years in early childhood special education and extensive experience as an Oakland-based photographer, I bring a distinctive approach to photography. My passion lies in preserving the genuine emotions, warmth, and unique connections that define your family. Every family has a story, and my goal is to tell yours authentically and artistically.
Trained in play and relationship-based methods, I understand the value of patience, empathy, and meeting children where they are. This experience allows me to create a relaxed atmosphere where true moments unfold naturally, ensuring every session is enjoyable and meaningful.
Understanding the nuances of family dynamics, I focus on capturing your love and the unique moments at each stage.
Beyond my teaching career, my love for photography grew from my sentimental nature and deep bond with my two children. Driven by a desire to record every moment, I found comfort and purpose in capturing our shared experiences. This passion deepened after the loss of my mother, which taught me firsthand the enduring power of photographs to honor loved ones and safeguard memories that might otherwise fade over time.

“We knew from our first phone call with Sara that she was the perfect person to invite into this intimate moment with our family.”
“We couldn’t be more grateful for the moments Sara captured of our new family. She never made us feel rushed, took the time to answer our questions, and made us feel at ease. We absolutely adore the photos Sara captured and will treasure these images forever!”
